20/20 Vision for eClinical Systems

The next decade will bring a convergence of technologies that will provide a basis to exploit the new designs for adaptive trials, collaboration amongst peers, evolution of new thought leaders, and a far more productive environment for clinical research and clinical trials. In this presentation we will focus on what improvements are likely and how we need to prepare for adoption – a 20/20 vision towards 2020.

The cost of drug and device development continues to increase and so does the pressure on development companies.
Companies continue to strive for accelerated investigational product approval while a maintaining a cap on resources. The go, no-go decision for continuation of investigational product development is scrutinized today by senior executives, boards of directors, and investors at unheralded levels.
Clinical systems that integrate technologies with positive service attitudes remain in demand. This session emphasizes the latest trends in Clinical systems with a 20/20 vision toward the year 2020.

Trends to be discussed include interim access to data to meet regulatory and management oversight, utilization of metrics to track and document process efficiency, implementation of clinical systems, preference for collaborative relationships through the use of new technologies, and preference for “simpler is better” approaches. The clinical trial team perspective will be featured – Project Managers, Project Assistants, Data Managers, CRAs, and CRCs
